Welcome to the Mesters Syndicate website.

This is the members website of the Mesters Angling Syndicate. Mester's is an 18-acre sandpit situated in North Lincolnshire. The lake provides first class fishing for several species in private and peaceful surroundings.

Lake Information

Initially dug and formed as a result of sand excavation in the mid 1970's, Mester's is a mature well-established lake. Its depths range from 18" down to 9' in places. The lake margins hold extensive beds of Norfolk reed and reed mace, providing habitat and cover for all manner of creatures! To come to terms with the many numerous features to be found beneath its surface, you need to be proficient with a marker rod and endless patience!

Fish Stocks

The current syndicate was established in 2003 and the lake stocked with primarily with hand picked mirror carp of two distinct strains. The initial stocking was extremely successful and the fish enjoyed rapid growth, the lake record standing at a very creditable 38lb's, although sadly that fish is no longer alive.

Currently there are estimated to be around 100 carp in the water, with a good percentage of these fish being 20lb plus, the current lake best being around 35lb. The lake also hold specimen tench, to 9lb plus, rudd to 3lb plus, good pike and roach and one known catfish last caught in 2006 at 29lb
